We chat to Academy Award nominated Angie Fielder and Polly Staniford of Aquarius Films about first starting out, lessons learned early on, the benefits of having the right producing partner, the realities of foreign productions vs. domestic productions and the importance of always listening to that gut instinct.

Polly is a creative producer, writer and director and a founding partner of Aquarius Films. Past credits include BERLIN SYNDROMEdirected by Cate Shortland, THE UNLISTED (ABC/Netflix), two series of THE OTHER GUY (Stan/ Hulu), DIRT MUSIC and THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS (SBS). Polly has a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and TV and a Masters of Screenwriting, both from the Victorian College of the Arts School of Film & TV in Melbourne.

Angie is an Academy Award® nominated producer and a founding partner of Aquarius Films. Past credits include feature films LION, WISH YOU WERE HERE and DIRT MUSIC. Angie has also produced THE UNLISTED (ABC/Netflix), two series of THE OTHER GUY (Stan/ Hulu) and THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS (SBS). She is a graduate of Griffith Film School and received their Alumni of the Year Award in 2012.
